Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, both occupants of the Nissan Rogue suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities later identified the victims as 55-year-old Eva Lowe and 32-year-old Jasmine Spicer, both of Piedmont.
Officials have not publicly identified the driver of the semi-truck, and no additional information has been released regarding that individual’s condition or whether any other injuries resulted from the collision.
